The challenge

It is innate in all humans to demonstrate leadership throughout their lives -  it is important to understand how we can harness our experiences, learnings and successes to be better, 21st century leaders.  

Whether you lead a company, work individually, or within a team - one of your key responsibilities is managing your mindset. Leadership is about making decisions, and decisions are made on every level.

 

 

The insights and solutions are in no way definitive, leadership must be honed through experiences. 

This Challenge started with a 60-minute webinar (09/02/2017) to tease out the learnings from three Australian business and philanthropic leaders - Allan EnglishLindley Edwards and Jim Varghese - facilitated by MindHive CEO, Bruce Muirhead

This Challenge is an enormous opportunity to share collective insights, and understand how to better develop and engage the concept of 'leadership', and the attitude and learnings you bring in demonstrating leadership.

Lindley, Jim and Allan discussed topics such as Abundant Thinking, Integral Theory and Appreciative Inquiry. These topics will form the foundation of our discussion moving forward.

The context

Leadership requires a frame, increasingly leadership is becoming populist, relying on absolute arguments and avoiding the middle ground.

We're interested in bringing a diverse set of voices to the table to discuss the importance and variety of frames successful leaders use in their day to day public and private lives. By sharing intelligence we can improve leadership and in turn improve outcomes.

Eidos, the mothership of MindHive has spent all of its resources over the last 11 years bringing together leaders form areas and topics of importance. Many organisations contribute to the sharing of these frameworks - however, we'd like to mix face-face and virtual crowdsourcing to scale the shared practices of leaders. There's been centuries of thought in leadership principles so to begin we are sharing three key frames of leadership and some context regarding their influence on our panellists.
